Vista Neighborhood – Phony Alarm Reps

This was sent by a resident of the Vista neighborhood, in the northwest quadrant; the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 21st, approximately 8:45 AM:

A young man, about 19 or 20, white male, lots of acne, holding a white binder with the word VISION (?) and a shirt with another insignia and an ID badge just rang my door bell and claimed to be with my alarm company. I alerted the alarm company and they indicated that they did not send anyone out and that there are no concerns regarding my home alarm system. The young man said he was with GE inspecting Brinks alarms that are connected to home owners’ phone systems.

This was immediately suspicious since my alarm company has no connection to GE and Brinks was purchased by ADT. I told the young man that I was calling the alarm company to confirm and he left.
